Richard Taittinger Gallery NEW YORK — We are especially especially excited to announce the return of visonary American artist Mike Perry b. 1981 for his third solo exhibition, Fluidic Space and a Cosmic Cocktail which marks a significant milestone in the gallery’s decade long history. Mike played a pivotal role in allowing the gallery to be among the first downtown galleries to reopen in the summer of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Mike is making his third triumphant return showcasing a series of powerful cosmic landscapes and figurative works produced in 2023 through 2024 and the introduction of a series of striking 8-footers never before seen.

Mike Perry’s artistic journey with the Richard Taittinger Gallery began in 2020 with a marquee show Still Now is Here: Woolgather Together, reflecting the resilience and power of art to unite people during difficult times and setting the stage for a strong and enduring collaboration. In 2021, Perry returned for his second solo show, Impetuous Meetings with Myself: Dancing with Ducklegangers, captivating audiences with an evolving dialouge on joy and community amid isolation. The exhibition not only solidified Perry’s status as a rising creative but also reinforced the Richard Taittinger Gallery’s commitment to support the local art scene by showcasing groundbreaking, Brooklyn contemporary art.

As the world re-opened post pandemic, his artistic practice reached new levels in 2023 when he began a breakthrough collaboration with the french, luxury brand, Hermès: transforming the iconic brands window displays across New York. Now, in 2024, Mike Perry returns for his third solo exhibition at the Richard Taittinger Gallery. This milestone event promises to be a continuation of Perry’s artistic exploration, offering visitors a glimpse into the artist’s ever-evolving perspective.
